The incidents took place in the Hubbardston Road and Worcester Road areas. Though attacks on livestock are not uncommon in rural areas, Animal Control in consultation with MassWildlife suspect but cannot positively confirm that both these attacks were made by a Black Bear . Residents owning pets and livestock are advised to consider taking additional precautions to secure their animals including keeping them in a secure structure overnight.
