I came downstairs headed for the laundry room and stopped dead in my tracks when I saw the SNAKE in the dining room.
Lola was sitting next to it, cautiously observing. Trying to quell the rising note of hysteria in my voice, I shouted: "THERE'S A SNAKE DOWN HERE!!"
I grabbed a cardboard box, as Raj arrived with two walking canes from Frank's cane collection. This snake was much bigger than last year's visitor. This one was about 3' long and as fat as a cigar, striped yellow and black with hints of red.
I opened the back kitchen door and Raj, using a cane in each hand, herded the monstrous thing outside.
*SHUDDER*
It was huge!!
