Today it warmed up to a balmy 43 degrees. I ran errands in the car with the sun roof open, the window down, and my sleeves rolled up. WOO HOO! To start the celebrations, I took the first Roof Snow & Ice Removal shift this morning. I was out there before 9:00, up on the ladder with cudgel in hand beating back ice and snow, wondering how long it takes to freeze the BEJAYSUS out of one's fingers.
Worcester news predicts dire emergencies should the higher temperatures continue. Let us not forget the possibilities abounding if we have a rapid thaw: floods, flooding, floodfest!
