If I Wanted RAIN This Time of Year, I'd Have Stayed in Northern California

...But since I am currently domiciled in New England, in Central Massachusetts, AND in a SNOW BELT I expect SNOW when the weather is COLD.  Am I naive to believe so fervently that the New England Winter Holiday Season should mean SNOW on the GROUND?
